The external Alphacool LCD-Display admittedly is a really funky little gadget. Surely it can be compared with a lot of PLED displays that you for example can mount into your PC. This however is a small mini-monitor that you can conveniently place on your desktop. The best part is the way you can configure it, and within that configuration the hidden secret obviously is the use of Plugins that will enable the device to display data generated by some very popular software like MBM, Rivatuner, Fraps, WinAMP and many others.

The big downside however is the very steep price. This little unit will cost you 129 EUR, and while I'm not saying it's not worth that kind of money, I do feel that most of you will never put in that kind of money for an additional small mono-chrome LCD display.

The build-quality of the product is really good. The sturdy brushed steel design helps a lot. The one thing I did not like is a small border outside the actual display field.  But other than that there really is nothing negative to say. It's an extremely fun product for the uber geeks with high end systems. The ease of use and flexibility make it incredibly fun. Next to that the build quality is just awesome. Whether you are playing game and monitoring your FPS or system load it doesn't matter, the Alphacool LCD-Display is a really fun display.

So then, it's expensive yes, but this is pimping your rig. Think about it, others spend thousands of dollars on their car, we hardware freaks do the same with our PC's don't we ?
