Aah summer hot summer… the best season to chill anything. Your mind will probably be fixed on ice-creams or ice cubes licking them of .. well ..  but really our mind still remain on processors. Another review is delivered directly at you from Guru3D.com we aim to give answers and solutions in order to cool your processor cores and threads properly. There are two primary points you need to pay attention to: cooling efficiency and noise levels – since the fundamental standard of a CPU cooler selection consists out of these two, and also (as a third point) the price tag is another factor that effects all manner of products and is always taken under customer’s consideration.

Corsair brings an updated innovative type of cooler that combines both the efficiency of a water-cooling system with the ease installation of a common air cooler. How they do that? Well, the base of H70 water block is placed upon the processor’s surface and the thermal energy is picked up by the coolant which then starts pumping forward to the radiator through the tubes.

As side effect, the thick radiator gets hotter and hotter, that’s why we need a fan to push away all these waves of thermal energy. After all, Corsair wants to squeeze out a little extra performance, so they include not one but two fans so as to take care of this issue and have them configured in a push-pull configuration. The liquid coolant manages to transfer larger quantity of thermal energy than the air, thus at least on theory base, it offers you a better cooling solution. Hey, we can’t ignore the fact that liquid cooling dominated over our automobile’s gas engine the last hundred years.

Of course you have already seen images of impressive water-cooling setups. Radiators, pumps, tubing, blocks, fittings etc much stuff they all seem hard to install, and most of you guys are still; afraid to fool around with water in your PC.

Corsair has an answer on that and presents us a fully ready-to-use-and-install water-cooling kit. There is no need to put any water-cooled piece together because this closed loop is already, completely installed 100% at the factory. To put that in simple words, the installation of H70 is just as simple as the installation of a common heatsink, suffice it to say that you need a full tower case with vast areas inside for airflow.

Having the product in our labs, you can expect some specific tests and have some comparative results of all the other air coolers we’ve tested in the past.

Nonetheless, we would like to notice that H70 does not aim to replace a custom water-cooling setup, but to provide you with something in the middle of air and water cooling, at an affordable price.
