GeForce GTX series 400

Let's have a look at the GeForce GTX 470 first. Do not underestimate how much performance this little card has under its hood. Targeted at a MSRP of roughly 350 USD it still packs 1280MB of gDDR5 memory, its core frequency is clocked at 600, its shader processors at 1215 MHz and that memory at 3348 MHz (effective). This card is positioned directly against ATI's Radeon HD 5850.

The TDP is a little lower opposed to its big brother, a more convenient at 215 Watts. Overall, a nice dark themed looking card offering a nice powerful bite in performance.

A very clean backside, it's interesting to see that the new reference models all have a gap in the PCB at the cooler location, likely drawing some more cold air into the cooler. The cooler itself it not at all noisy.
