Okay, think along with me for a moment  .. everytime I think of the product we test today Garfield comes to mind. You know, the cartoon Garfield; see the poorly abused dog in that cartoon is Odi.

Well, let's add the letter n to Odi and we are stumbling into a new product from Gigabyte technology which we'll put to the test today. Now then, last year here at Guru3D.com we made you guys a promise. We told you that we'd put a focus on power supplies and would start reviewing them more and more. I think we definitely kept our promise and we'll continue to do so as they remain one of the most underestimated components in a PC.

The industry also picked up on this, you've probably noticed that pretty much any manufacturer / brand offers a PSU these days. That for me is even more reason to review these units to show you to good and the bad. Since so many manufacturers now offer PSU's, another factor became apparent in this industry: It's getting more competitive (which is a great thing). See, competition always has several side-effects. Often due to the hefty competition the prices go down, build-quality goes up (companies want to offer the best) and last but not least,  product differentiation.

Product differentiation is where we land at Gigabyte today.
