Then you need to remove a plastic shipping bar. Now with that out of the way just install the hard drive with the 4 screws provided and insert the drive.
This is the defective drive by the way that caused so much trouble, lesson learned do not use a used drive for a review. Just so you know even though this drive seemed to work fine in my Fileserver it caused the MB559US-1S to not work correctly when using it in USB mode. The unit would disconnect and corrupt files and cause a "Unknown USB device" error when trying to transfer files. But this was the defective hard drives fault not the MB559US-1S, once the new SATA drive was installed it worked flawlessly.
Now that the drive is installed you need to hook up the power and drive interface that you want to use. The MB559US-1S has a selection of USB or eSATA and it is totally Hot Swappable in both modes. Lets check out some spec's and see what's under the hood of this unit shall we.
