 MSI R5770 HAWK review

MSI RadeoN HD 5770 HAWX

Ever since the past year or two something changed on a very positive note with the MSI design team. The somewhat more enthusiast audience is currently being catered much better then MSI has done ever before.

Proof of that are their top notch components to be found in the high-end motherboards, I mean just look at the GD80 series products and the new Big bang concept. Next to that last year another concept was introduced, MSI's Lightning series of graphics cards. Last year these where all NVIDIA based products, and all located in the somewhat high-end region of the market, armed with an optimized PCB, better components and cooling this product series ensure great overclocking potential and just a heck of a lot of tweaking fun.

That lightning series concept has now been brought to their mid-range product line as well, under another label label though -- HAWK. And today here at Guru3D.com we'll be looking at a Radeon HD 5770 HAWK edition based on a custom PCB, voltage check points, improved power phases and a nice heavy duty yet silent cooler. MSI labels it as their military class products, as the quality and choice in components is just top notch.

This definitely is the stuff you guys, the Guru3D.com audience likes to read up on .. a whole lot ! So therefore let me startup this review, a mid-range product .. armed with a high-end concept. The end results is astonishing, a cool looking silent product, that we overclocked quite easily towards 1050 MHz ...  yeah, we just got your attention didn't we ? Have a peek at the product and then head onwards to the next page where we'll startup this in-depth test.
