Alright, so here we have the unit shipped in. Our box was a tiny bit beaten up from traveling overseas from the USA toward the Netherlands bur the hardware arrived in mint condition..

Opening up the box you'll notice a very well packaged product. Chances of damage are fairly slim.

First impression, nice looking device. Too bad it's not designed completely in black though. Bundled you'll find everything you need to get started. Power cable, Cat5e Ethernet cable, and of course a driver CD and manual.

The front side of the SmartStor NS4600 unit looks a bit monotonous when it's powered off really. You are looking at a drive bay door. Four drive bays sit behind that lockable front panel which has a lot of LEDs harbored in it. Overall a good looking device, though I would have preferred a completely black design. Taste differs though.
