Thermalright Venomous X CPU cooler

Okay, so here we have packaging and bundle. The cooler does not come preinstalled for you, meaning the fans aren't in place and locked in. We need to apply fan retention clips and rubber pads.

Surprisingly enough, you pay for the cooler and need to purchase the actual fan (or two) yourself -- which is kind of weird.

Thermalright will give you all the items needed for the complete installation of the cooler, you'll receive brackets and kit for Intel Socket LGA1366, LGA1156 and LGA775 and even some thermal paste (Chill Factor II). You'll notice that a back plate is also required for installation, meaning the motherboard needs to come out of the PC for proper installation.

The cooler is a reasonable sized unit alright, I'll give you that one. Check out the dimensions. Size: Length 127mm x Width 63mm x Height 160mm

You'll spot a whopping six heatpipe design with optional dual fan configuration, the Venomous X exudes cooling performance. The unit weighs 755g and that's excluding fan and bracket system.
