Introduction

So, I get another email. It’s Hilbert. Coming to California? Why, yes he is! This, of course, was the nVidia 8800 GT launch event, which they flew the man himself out here for. So, I drive down to meet him. He’s still tall. After a site meeting, he leaves with a very hot 8800 GT (old news I know, but it's part of the story), and very much the envy of this editor, I return home to await some new products coming in for review, something a little different.

I get a small discreet package in the mail. An anonymous brown box from Xoxide. It didn’t rattle, didn’t buzz, and thankfully didn’t tick. It was something from Thermaltake, the much vaunted cooling gear supplier. Well, they’ve made a little sum-sum called the Flare Board, part of their Flare Series, which consists of this keypad and a wrist wrest.
