Zalman CNPS X10 CPU coolers

Located at the top of the cooler is a fan controller which can slide in there. It can be left seated 'in' the cooler.

The controller can also be removed and placed in a more accessible place, outside of the case, thanks to an  included extension cable. The controller can be used in auto and manual modes. It has three operating speeds ranging from 25 percent to 100 percent of the fan's capacity depending on the noise level you find acceptable. But even at the very lowest setting performance will remain really good as we'll show later on in the article.

That's a mirror lapped finish alright. The base is copper plus the nickel plating obviously. This cooler is looking brilliant, we expect it's performance to be grand. But let's have a look at the 10X Quiet shall we ?
