NVIDIA's cut away partners are ...
By Hilbert Hagedoorn, October 8, 2008 - 7:23 PM

Guru3D.com ImageAs earlier reported, NVIDIA is going to cut off some board partners (AIBs) as early as Q1 2009. The story behind is simple, the big partners can now twist Nvidia’s arm to do it, as otherwise more people would defer to the red camp. Especially in this moment, Nvidia cannot afford to lose any of its supporters and it especially doesn’t want to see people like XFX and EVGA, the guys with the strongest Nvidia only portfolio, to start selling ATI cards.

We now know pretty much for sure that the following board partners will be axed: Albatron, Biostar, Club3D, ECS and Foxconn.

Not a big loss really - Other than XFX and BFG, I wouldn't buy any other brand - those 2 have proven to be very reliable, well built and offer a good warranty. We can all live without these others :)

Same with EVGA. They offer a better warranty than BFG, except for resale now.

Still, it seems logical that Nvidia would do this.
